Joe got started in screen printing at the age of 15. He saved up $50 for a beginner "silk screen" kit and was hooked from the start. He progressed from printing in his cramped bedroom floor to printing on a homemade press in his parent's garage. He went on to working at a few high-output local shops. He also started making shirts for bands (his own and others, both local and international). The next step was record/CD and cassette packaging, as well as, signs, banners, posters and anything else that could be printed. After working professionally for a while, he decided that it was time to open his own business with the ethics, quality and integrity that are most important to him and his family.
Jessi started in the shirt and sign-making industry at the age of 18. She found that the area she enjoyed most was sign-making and design. She went on to learn every aspect of the business. She has been in management, bookkeeping, sales, graphic design, production, printing and installation. She was always the driving force in opening a successful shop that her and her family can be proud of.
Graveyard Shift Screen Printing is owned and operated by Joe and Jessi Lachut, with help from our son, Wilson.
